Vitali Kravtsov's turbulent time as a New York Ranger has finally come to an end. The Vancouver Canucks announced on Saturday that they've acquired Kravtsov from the New York Rangers.
In exchange, the Rangers have received forward Will Lockwood and a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
Kravtsov, 23, has wanted a move from the Rangers for quite some time now and he finally gets his wish. Last season, he didn't want to report to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack and the Rangers decided to loan him back to the KHL.
The Vladivostok native made the Rangers opening night roster out of training camp this season and has gone on to appear in 28 games, tallying six points (three goals, three assists), six penalty minutes and is a plus-six.
