During the second period of Saturday's game between Colorado and Calgary, fans were treated to a heavyweight matchup between Flames forward Milan Lucic and Avalanche defenceman Kurtis MacDermid.

The pair began by shoving each other after an icing call and proceeded to drop their gloves. The linesmen got in their pretty quick to stop any potential fight, but both Lucic and MacDermid were able to get loose and start the tilt.

Both players got a handful of good punches in, but it was Milan Lucic who got the final blow, throwing a hard right to MacDermid's nose, causing the Avalanche blueline to fall to the ice, who was also left bleeding.

Lucic and MacDermid are no stranger to dropping the mitts against each other. Back in March 2022, they battled each other in another entertaining fight.
