Evgeny Dadonov's stint with the Montreal Canadiens has come to an end. The team has announced that the Russian forward has been traded to the Dallas Stars in exchange for fellow Russian forward Denis Gurianov.
No other players or assets are involved in the trade. However, Montreal has agreed to retain 50 percent of Dadonov's salary until he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
A 6'03'', 205-pound right-winger, Gurianov has two goals and seven assists in 43 games this year. Dadonov has 4 goals and 18 points in 50 games.
Dadonov was traded to Montreal from Vegas in exchange for Shea Weber's contract in June of 2022. He's also played for Ottawa and Florida throughout his career. Gurianov has only ever played for Dallas, which drafted him 12th overall in 2015.
