After his surprise trade to the Columbus Blue Jackets, G Jonathan Quick has once again been traded - this time per his own request - to the Vegas Golden Knights; Pacific Division rivals of the Los Angeles Kings.

Quick was reportedly not pleased with the manner in which he was traded (he was informed right after a road game) nor the destination; hardly a surprise, given where the Blue Jackets sit in the standings.

The 2x Stanley Cup champion will split the Golden Knights' goaltending duties with Adin Hill until Logan Thompson returns from injury. No doubt his experience in the playoffs played a role in his acquisition by Vegas.

In exchange, the Blue Jackets received a 2025 7th round pick and G Michael Hutchinson.
