Austin Watson and Tyler Motte were teammates two weeks ago. On Thursday, the former was ejected for an ugly hit to the head on the latter.

Motte left the game after playing just 2:50 of ice-time and was ruled out shortly after his departure. The Rangers haven't produced a statement, but as all hits to the head go, hope for the best, plan for the worst.
Watson is surely facing a dance with the NHL's Department of Player Safety on Friday.
