During the Boston Bruins 2-1 win over the New Jersey Devils, Bruins winger Brad Marchand delivered what Devil's fans are calling a dirty hit. The hit occurred as Michael McLeod was attempting to clear the New Jersey Devils zone. As Marchand comes across the ice he appears to catch McLeod in the chin with his shoulder.

However, upon reviewing the hit it appears Marchand contacts McLeod's arm before connecting with the head. This makes the principle point of contact the arm and not the head. But Devils fans didn't feel the same.

Today Emily Kaplan of ESPN shared that the league has no intention of reviewing the hit and Marchand will receive no supplemental discipline.

Hearing there will be no discipline for Bruins forward Brad Marchand for last nights hit on Devils forward Michael McLeod.

This likely won't sit well with Devils fans, but it appears to be the right call.
