The Toronto Maple Leafs not only lost Game One of their series, but also their composure. In particular, Leafs forward Michael Bunting was ejected for a dirty hit on Lightning's Erik Cernak.

Shades Of Nazem Kadri

Bunting was subsequently suspended for three games by the NHL Department of Player Safety. However, what was even more surprising was TSN's Hockey Overdrive host Brian Hayes comparing Bunting's hit to Nazem Kadri's, who was a former Leaf player.

Kadri took notice of the comparison and called out Hayes on Twitter, addressing Tsn on Twitter.

"Y'all gotta leave me outta this one 🤣 common man!

I think Leafs fans and media have got to let that go, as although the hits were similar Kadri has moved on to become a very responsible player in the NHL, and helped the Avalanche to the Stanley Cup last season.
