At the end of the Calgary Flames' season, Brad Treliving, one of the NHL' longest tenured general manager decided it was time to part ways with the organisation.

Treliving's Reason for Exit Revealed

His decision came after a mediocre season with the Flames who were supposed to get to the next step with big offseason moves.

Brad Treliving declined a renewal of contract with the organisation and, according to insider Eliotte Friedman, his relationship with Flames' coach Darryl Sutter put a strain on his desire to stay in Calgary.

This comes after many called for Darryl Sutter to be fired.

Interim GM Don Maloney will have the not-so-easy job to try and get this Flames team back to contention status.
