In recent days, many players, coaches, and fans have once again united to criticize the officiating in the playoffs.
Since the post season games started, it seems that almost every night, a new controversy emerges surrounding the referees.
During the third game between the Islanders and the Hurricanes on Sunday afternoon, something happened involving referee Wes McCauley.
Another Questionable Call by McCauley
It all started in Toronto when the NHL overlooked clear referee bias in a game. This has continued today, as McCauley made a really bad call, according to some.
Brent Burns received a two minute penalty for cross-checking Mathew Barzal. Even though the hit was rough, McCauley thought that Barzal embellished his reaction and penalized him for it.

To add to the controversy, McCauley called Barzal's penalty in an overdramatic manner in front of thousands of Islanders' fans.
Fans and analysts are confused about the call as the NHL's officiating continues to look bad.
