The St. Louis Blues have a plethora of star defensemen and could be looking to move one in favor of more cap space.
Blues Looking To Move Top Defenseman
The St. Louis Blues blueline is very solid. Boasting the likes of Torey Krug, Justin Faulk, Colton Parayko, Nick Leddy, and Marco Scandella, the St. Louis defenseman are also very pricey.
A recent report from NHL insider Frank Seravalli reported that St. Louis would be selling a defenseman.

Who Goes?
Among the defenseman who could be moved, Faulk, Parayko, Leddy, or Scandella, Scandella would be the easiest to move due to his relatively low cap hit. However, St. Louis could also buy Scandella out which would result in them not needing to give up any assets.
While Leddy could be moved, he is not a needle mover a team would pay a hefty price for and therefore likely stays in St. Louis.
Faulk and Parayko both make $6.5m with Faulk's contract expiring in 2028 and Parayko's expiring in 2030. Faulk is coming off a career-high 50-point campaign while Parayko is coming off a 27-point campaign but boasting a much more sound defensive game.
Faulk would have more interest on the open market but it would also cost the team acquiring him more. Both are right-handed which is a commodity for defensemen. Who will be more valuable, the undersized offensive Faulk or the stay-at-home Parayko?
Who is more valuable?
