After a rough year for ratings and viewership in looks like Sportsnet will be making a massive change to their Hockey Night in Canada panel.
The Changes
Former longtime Rogers/Sportsnet employee Howard Berger reports the only person from the panel that is safe is Elliotte Friedman.
We may not recognize the Hockey Night In Canada panel next season. Based on what I'm told, only Elliotte Friedman is safe from the changes and cost–cutting measures on the horizon.»

The panel has been looking to gain popularity and good ratings ever since the firing of Don Cherry.
After Cherry got fired Ron MacLean became the host and created the panel.
After a couple seasons the panel will now be changed, reports suggest the Kelly Hrudey, Kevin Bieksa and Jennifer Botterill will all be gone from the panel.
The Panel
For the most part the panel was all business except for Kevin Bieksa who would lighten up the group and became a fan favorite among Canadians.
With ESPN and TNT joining the stage as hockey broadcasters, fans began watching them more than Sportsnet.

TNT has grown to be the favorite intermission broadcast with Paul Bissonnette and Wayne Gretzky sharing the table, when watching their broadcasts they come off as light, enjoyable but knowledgeable.
It is unknown who will be on the panel come the 2023-24 season.
