The Toronto Maple Leafs always have pressure to win, but after finally pushing through to the second round a season ago, the pressure continues to mount, especially with a new regime in town.
The hot seat gets hotter

Surprisingly though, the new regime kept the same Head Coach behind the bench in Sheldon Keefe, despite plenty of criticism around him as the coach of the Maple Leafs.
In four seasons with Toronto, Keefe has tallied a 166-71-30 record, but as we've seen, nothing else matters in Toronto except for playoff success, meaning this season will be the most important in his tenure as Head Coach.
Will he last the season?
Now, with the hiring of two experienced coaches, it appears the hot seat is getting hotter for Keefe, as one hockey consultant has predicted there will be a change this year, as early as Christmas.

With some new additions by General Manager Brad Treliving, this team has as good a chance as anyone of making a run in 2023-24, but if they start slow with all their expectations, it's truly hard to see Keefe getting another full season behind the bench.
