This morning, the Carolina Hurricanes announced that they would be extending Sebastian Aho for 8 years.

Aho will be getting $78 million total contract dollars with him also raking in $9.75 million per year.
This is the most expensive contract in the history of the Carolina Hurricanes/Hartford Whalers.
Aho has been leading or been near the top of the Hurricanes point leaders his entire career and will now be getting paid like it.
