The negotiations between William Nylander and the Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly hit a snag over the last few weeks. Now, it looks like there's finally a development in the situation.
Major Update
As you probably know, Nylander allegedly asked for a $10M AAV contract, but the Leafs were willing to give him something closer to $8 or $9M.
It looks like the talks have resumed.

Back to the Negotiations Table
It was revealed that both parties have resumed their negotiations. We don't know what it looks like, but if one party is willing to budge on their demands, a deal should be announced soon.
Honestly, we can't see the Leafs giving him more than $8 or $9M, considering their tough financial situation. Unless Brad Treliving creates space with a trade, that's what is likely to happen.
