The Boston Bruins reached the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2019 but lost to the St. Louis Blues in seven games.
At the time, Bruce Cassidy was the Bruins' coach, and David Krejci believes he made a mistake that cost them the Cup.

Cassidy and Krejci
Cassidy and Krejci have a good relationship together.
"He knew exactly when to yell at me. He had me read, and to this day, I am still grateful for his attitude towards me. We won the Stanley Cup together. He was the one who pushed me on how to play in the most important games of the season."
Knowing what buttons to push to get the maximum out of your players is an invaluable quality for coaches.
No wonder he won the Cup this year with Vegas.
However, Krejci disagrees with a major decision Cassidy took during the finals in 2019.
"We had a great relationship off the ice, we had great conversations, but I regret one thing."
Regret
Krejci had a great season in 2019, scoring 73 points, including 20 goals. He believes that Cassidy made a mistake that cost them the Cup.
Here's what he revealed:
"I think he could have shuffled those three and helped me out a little bit. That and the team. We went to the finals in 2019, and I had over 70 points in the season without playing with Pasta for an extended period of time. If Cassidy had seen it a little differently back then..." said Krejci, trailing off without finishing his sentence.
This is major. Years after, it's easy to blame the coach, but in this case, a part of it definitely goes to Cassidy.
