A star St. Louis Blues defender has gone down with an injury and could miss substantial time this season.

Krug Injured

Insider David Pagnotta revealed some major news regarding the status of star Blues defenseman Torey Krug.

Blues D Torey Krug suffered a "right-foot injury during training" and will be re-evaluated on Oct. 1, the team says.

Krug will be reevaluated at the start of October but one thing for certain is that Krug will miss most of training camp and will likely be a step slower when he returns.

Krug scored 32 points in 63 games last season but has the potential for far more, posting 53 in 64 games with the Bruins in 2018-19.

Krug was hoping for a bounce-back season but this injury will likely delay him from starting the season and even potentially force him to miss a substantial amount of games.
