A contending team has signed a fan-favorite winger to a contract.

Carolina Signs Aston-Reese

Carolina Hurricanes team reporter Walt Ruff just announced that the Hurricanes have signed Zach Aston-Reese to a PTO.

The #Canes have inked a seventh and final PTO, adding Zach Aston-Reese to their training camp roster.

The 29-year-old skated in 77 games with Toronto during the 2022-23 campaign.

Aston-Reese is known as a defensive forward who does not generate a lot of offense but can prevent the opposing team from scoring.

He is the prototypical fourth-line forward and could earn a roster spot with Carolina if he impresses during training camp.

Last season Aston-Reese registered a career-high 10 goals. He also added 4 assists.

He will now look to help the Hurricanes out and hopefully win a Stanley Cup.
