One of the Pittsburgh Penguins' stars is expected to miss some time but now his timeline has been confirmed.

Guentzel's Injury Timeline Confirmed

Pittsburgh Penguins fans have been holding their breath since forward Jake Guentzel went down with an injury.

Today, we have received a massive update on Guentzel's health status.

#Pens Jake Guentzel (ankle) is expected to return around five games into the season.

This is quite encouraging as five games is not a lot of time to miss at all and the Penguins will not need to search for his replacement. Hopefully, Guentzel can return to his peak form where he scored 40 goals and 84 points in in 76 games.

With Guentzel healthy, the Penguins can focus on a potential cup run with a core of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, Erik Karlsson, and Guentzel.
