The Maple Leafs just got some very disappointing injury news, and it will leave them without a defenseman long-term.

Timmins Out Long-Term

Connor Timmins may not be a superstar, but he has had a truly fantastic camp for the Maple Leafs. Scoring above a point-per-game piece, he seemed a lock to at least be on the team for opening night.

Unfortunately, he won't be available for opening night as he has been listed week-to-week with a lower body injury.

Timmins, who was acquired from the Coyotes for Curtis Douglas last year has been a fun offensive piece for the Leafs. Hopefully he'll be ready to make a difference once he's back.
