Smith Joins the Red Star in the KHL

Gemel Smith reached a deal with the Kunlun Red Star in the KHL, less than three years after winning a Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Smith had previously been playing with the Dynamo Minsk this season, but agreed with the organization to terminate his contract.

"Gemel Smith (@gemel_smith) 🇨🇦 has signed a one-year deal with the Kunlun Red Star (KHL) 🇨🇳
Smith, 29, had four goals, five points through 15 games played with Dynamo Minsk (KHL) 🇧🇾 this season, before agreeing on a mutual contract termination."
