Last night Ross Colton tripped 2023 2nd overall pick Leo Carlsson and the NHL had to intervene by punishing Colton harshly.

Colton Fined $5,000 For Tripping Carlsson

Last night during the Avalanche's game against the Anaheim Ducks, Ross Colton tripped Leo Carlsson in a dangerous manner.

The NHL's DoPS had to step in after watching this play and fined Colton $5,000.

Colorado's Ross Colton has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for a dangerous trip on Anaheim's Leo Carlsson.

This is Colton's second $5,000 fine of the year and with it being so early into the year, we could probably expect more fines to come Colton's way.
