This is not the kind of thing you want to see from some of your team's highest paid players. It's getting called out, and it deserves to be.

HNIC Analyst GIves it to Leafs Core 4 for Pathetic Effort in OT

Former player turned Hockey Night in Canada analyst Kevin Bieksa is blasting two members of the Toronto Maple Leafs Core 4 for what was some very lazy play over the weekend. With the game in overtime, a turnover creates a chance for the Boston Bruins to go the other way for a scoring chance. The goal was an easy one, as John Tavares and William Nylander appeared to give up on the play entirely. Bieksa called it a "freebie" for Boston.

"Tavares here, head should be down trying to get back into the picture," Bieksa said. "Nylander, same thing. Him and Marchand are the two that tangled at center and Marchand ends up beating him to the net and scoring the winner."

Leafs Core 4 Gets Ripped by Kevin Bieksa for Lazy Play

It's tough to disagree with Bieksa on this. No doubt Tavares was tired, but there was no effort whatsoever to stop what would be the game winning goal. It seems many fans agree with the analyst, with many on social media calling it a disgrace.
