It has just been announced that the Washington Capitals are expected to relocate outside of DC and to northern Virginia.

The @Capitals and the @WashWizards are preparing to say goodbye D.C., Hello Alexandria, Virginia.
Sources tell @7NewsDC that there will be a major announcement tomorrow morning at Potomac Yard.
The belief is that it will be about the construction of a new arena.
The Capitals will now likely get a bigger and better arena and hopefully will be able to retain their name.
