In major news, Jack Campbell has just hit a new low in the AHL for the Bakersfield Condors, making his chances of a return to the Oilers even more slim.

Campbell Loses Number 1 Spot in Bakersfield

Jack Campbell has seemed to lose his touch this season. After struggling to start the year with the Oilers, Campbell hasn't fared any better in the AHL. He has played in 10 games for the Condors, going 4-6-0 with a 3.46 GAA and 0.888 SV%.

Now, as per Puck Empire, Campbell has lost the number 1 goalie spot in Bakersfield.

Campbell's Contract Haunting the Oilers For Near Future

The worst part of the ordeal is that the Oilers are paying Jack Campbell $5 million per year to sit on the bench in the minors. This is severely limiting their ability to make much-needed trades at the deadline, as they have limited cap space.

It might also haunt them into the future, as moving his contract will likely require adding on a prospect.
