Nick Suzuki comments on possibly making the 2026 Olympic team
The 2026 Winter Olympics are right around the corner, and now Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki has revealed his desire to represent Team Canada.
With the Olympics coming up and the NHL officially back for the hockey event, Team Canada appears ready to once again stake their claim as top hockey nation, not long after the United States took out the World Juniors in dominant fashion.
Their roster is expected to boast the likes of Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Mitch Marner, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar and so many other stars, with many others looking to stake their claim. One of those players is Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki, who was asked about his desire to represent Team Canada recently;
Nick Suzuki: "Yeah I've definitely thought about it a lot. I'd love to be part of that team. We'll see what happens, I just gotta keep doing my job, show what type of player I could be & we'll see what happens»
Unsurprisingly, the London, Ontario native has expressed a desire to represent his country, but with so much talent looking to make their way into the team, and more stars like Connor Bedard emerging, it's not going to be easy. However, Suzuki has a career best 66 points in 70 games played this season, and if he can top that again next season, he may come under genuine consideration from Team Canada, with the likes of Brad Marchand, Steven Stamkos and Crosby all aging.
