Ryan Hartman addresses his recent suspension
After his actions last Saturday, Minnesota Wild veteran Ryan Hartman was given a three-game suspension, and now he's addressed his punishment.
While many don't believe Ryan Hartman's actions against the Vegas Golden Knights deserved a three-game suspension, or any punishment at all, the NHL's Department of Player Safety handed him a three-game suspension regardless.
There's no doubt that prior offense's may have played a part in the decision, as Hartman has already been suspended this year for something that happened on the ice, and as we've seen before, the DoPS certainly doesn't favour people that they've had to deal with on multiple occasions.
Minnesota's season was all but over, with the team on the verge of being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention anyway, but now they will miss one of their key pieces for three of their final eight games on the season. Now, the veteran forward has addressed his suspension, surprisingly accepting that what he did when the team lost was the wrong move to make.
At 29-years of age, Hartman certainly knows better, but in this instance, frustration clearly got the better of him, even if the officials missed the high-stick call late in the game that may have changed the entire outcome.
