The Montreal Canadiens had to make an emergency call-up from the AHL due to Kaiden Guhle's injury.

Guhle was on the receiving end of a major hit by Nikita Kucherov the other night in a game against Tampa Bay. While the hit wasn't dirty, Guhle had to leave the game.

If you missed it, here's the video:

Unfortunately, it doesn't look good for the young defenseman. He already had a concussion earlier this season, and now, he could miss a few games, as the Canadiens just called up his replacement from the Laval Rocket in the AHL.

Montreal Canadiens call back Justin Barron from the AHL and announce that Arber Xhekaj is being evaluated for an upper-body injury

The Habs are set to face the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight, and Justin Barron has been called back up from the AHL.

The Canadiens also shared that Arber Xhekaj will be evaluated for an upper body injury:

"Defensemen Kaiden Guhle (upper body, day-to-day) and Arber Xhekaj (upper body, further update to come pending evaluation) will not be available to play tonight. Defenseman Justin Barron was recalled from the Laval Rocket (emergency recall)."

With only a few games remaining to the season, at this point, if key players are missing, it'll only help their first pick odds.

More to come.
