Matt Rempe made a massive hit on Trevor Van Riemsdyk last night, leading many to believe he would face supplemental discipline.

His fate has now been confirmed by the NHL's Department of Player Safety, confirming that he will not face a suspension for the hit.

The New York Rangers lead the Washington capitals dominantly in their series, and Matt Rempe has played an important role, being not only an agitator and enforcer, but a strong offensive producer.

Having Rempe in the lineup for the next few games will help the Rangers get past the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions, and have them better off for their next series.
