On social media, Patrik Laine's girlfriend published a photo with her boyfriend, Patrik Laine, in the picture you can see the injury he's been going through is worse then it seems.
Patrik Laine didn't really see much icetime during the 2023-24 season with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Partially for his mental health issues where he stepped into the NHL Player's Assistance Program but it also appears that he is suffering from a serious injury to his shoulder, as revealed by his girlfriend on social media.

Laine has been subject to many trade rumors going into the summer, as he is expected to be shopped around by the new management that will occur in Columbus.
Laine, pure goalscorer, will generate a bunch of interest on the trade market, however the injury concerns may drop his value just a bit.
