In some unfortunate shocking news, Kaiden Guhle of the Montreal Canadiens will miss training camp as he's undergone emergency appendix surgery.

The Montreal Canadiens have just announced on social media X that their young defenseman Kaiden Guhle will have to undergo emergency surgery to deal with appendicitis.

He will miss at least the next seven days of training camp and pre-season games, and will then be re-evaluated next week.

The Montreal Canadiens selected Kaiden Guhle in the first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft with the 16th overall pick. He's played in two seasons with the team so far, and in those years he has scored 10 goals and added 30 assists, for 40 points.
