Being an interviewer for hockey players or any athlete isn't always the easiest job, with some players hard to get answers out of while some can be very combative for no logical reason.
However, we've now seen another reason why it was tough, as one interviewer has been called out on the fly by a reporter as he was simply asking the University of Denver's Kieran Cebrian a simple question.
After a period where they simply couldn't figure out the opposing goaltender, the interviewer asked Cebrian a simple question about how they go about improving their offense against a clearly red-hot goalie.
Unfortunately, hot-mic has picked up an unidentified reporter mocking the question for no apparent reason, with the reporter likely to face consequences after being picked up on hot-mic.
Sure, if you ask the player 'how do you score?', it's an idiotic question, but that's not what the interviewer did at all, as he was looking to get details on how the team would figure out this particular goalie, with the comments seemingly condemning the mockery as well.
Ultimately, this was a major overreaction by the reporter caught on hot-mic, who will definitely be spoken too by someone running the broadcast, but it's easy to tell who was in the wrong after Cebrian took the question serious and gave a genuine answer to what many believe was a very standard line of questioning.
