The Calgary Flames are an interesting team ahead of the 2025 trade deadline, and now it appears as though one of their young names could draw plenty of interest.

A few weeks before the Four Nations break, the Calgary Flames added Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee in a shock trade with the Philadelphia Flyers, with many more moves potentially on the way before the deadline.

While they've made it clear that veterans like Nazem Kadri, Rasmus Andersson and Mackenzie Weegar are off the table, the Flames haven't ruled out other moves, and now it appears some of their young players are drawing interest.

According to a recent report, Adam Klapka, a 6-foot-8 forward could be a player that contending teams look too ahead of the trade deadline, as he has struggled to get playing time with the Flames despite many of their veteran forwards having lackluster seasons thus far.

The undrafted forward has just one goal in 12 games with the team thus far in 2024/25, but in the AHL with the Calgary Wranglers he has thrived, tallying an impressive 13 goals and 25 points in 31 games, and if he's not in the Flames long-term plans, a trade certainly makes sense.

With intimidating size at 6-foot-8 and some skill to go along with it, there are many contending teams out there that could use him as a key piece of their fourth line, especially if they can play to his strength as a net front presence.

The Flames may not want to move some of their veterans, but with other young names like Connor Zary and Matt Coronato thriving, there just appears to be no place for Klapka, so don't be surprised if he's a low-risk, high-reward pickup for a team ahead of the 2025 trade deadline.
