Brady Tkachuk put everything he could into the Four Nations Finale for Team USA, and after the game, he shared a very defeated statement following an incredible performance on the night.

The Four Nations Finale between the United States and Canada was one of the most highly anticipated and emotionally charged games in hockey history, and nobody quite embodied that on the night like Brady Tkachuk.

After scoring the first goal of the game for Team USA, he celebrated in incredible fashion as he showed pride for his country, and unsurprisingly after the overtime defeat, he took it incredibly hard.

When asked about his feelings on the game, Tkachuk summed it up very quickly, giving a two word answer on how he felt following the dramatic defeat.

This sucks

He would go on to be a bit more detailed however, and while he along with the rest of the team were incredibly defeated, he is looking forward to a potentially different outcome at the 2026 Olympic Games.

«Honestly, I was convinced we were going to win. Just everything happens for a reason. There's a reason why we didn't win tonight. Maybe in a year's time it goes the other way.»

Players like Auston Matthews, Jaccob Slavin and Connor Hellebuyck were all fantastic for the United States throughout the night, but at the end of the day, Jordan Binnington, McDavid and Team Canada simply managed to get it done.

With Quinn Hughes, Josh Morrissey and others all missing the game, the rematch at the 2026 Olympic Games is going to be just as big if not bigger than this game, and if Brady Tkachuk can bring this type of intensity on that stage, there's no doubting that they'll be confident the result can be different on that stage.
