David Pastrnak has entered Mike Babcock's Oilers picture through a massive fan-made deadline proposal.

The online concept depends on Boston falling out of the playoff race and becoming willing to discuss its star winger.

There is no report that Pastrnak is available. There is also no indication that Edmonton and Boston have discussed any version of this trade.

Still, the proposal has drawn attention because it would place one of hockey's premier finishers beside Connor McDavid or Leon Draisaitl.

The suggested return includes Matthew Savoie, Isaac Howard, Quinn Hutson and first-round picks in 2028 and 2029.

That would empty a large part of Edmonton's already thin prospect pipeline. It would also represent a full commitment to winning during the current championship window.

" I can foresee a scenario at the trade deadline where Boston is out of the playoff picture and Pastrnak becomes available. Oilers would be one of the few, if not the only cup contender with 20M in cap space. Pasta comes in at 11M.

A new David Pastrnak-to-Oilers blockbuster proposal is turning heads across the NHL

The fan proposal assumes Edmonton could hold roughly $20,000,000 in deadline cap space while absorbing Pastrnak's $11,250,000 cap hit.

That financial scenario has not been confirmed. Cap space changes throughout a season through roster moves, injuries, call-ups and previous transactions.

The hockey fit requires little explanation. Pastrnak would bring an elite release, power-play value and another winger capable of finishing the chances Edmonton's centres create.

But Boston would need a major reason to move its top scorer. A difficult season alone wouldn't guarantee that management would entertain offers.

The Bruins could also demand NHL-ready talent rather than a package driven mainly by prospects and future picks. Edmonton's first-round selections may land late if the club remains a contender.

Stan Bowman would then have to decide how much future depth he can sacrifice. Savoie and Howard represent 2 of Edmonton's most valuable young forwards.

The proposal is built for debate, not presented as reporting. Pastrnak hasn't requested a move, and no established insider has connected him to the Oilers.

But the idea shows how aggressively some fans want Edmonton to use its window. Adding Pastrnak would create a frightening top six, while the acquisition price could leave the organization with almost nothing behind it.
