Tomas Nosek is leaving Paul Maurice and the Florida Panthers behind after agreeing to continue his career in the Czech Republic.
The veteran forward has signed with HC Dynamo Pardubice, returning to the organization where his professional career started more than a decade ago.
The move likely closes Nosek's NHL chapter after 11 seasons, 514 regular-season games and stops with Detroit, Vegas, Boston, New Jersey and Florida.
It's a homecoming with real weight. Nosek developed in Pardubice before earning an entry-level contract with the Detroit Red Wings as an undrafted free agent in 2014.

He worked his way through the American Hockey League and helped the Grand Rapids Griffins win the Calder Cup in 2017.
That progress earned him a place in the Vegas Golden Knights' expansion draft plans, setting up the biggest opportunity of his North American career.
Nosek returns home after winning with Florida
Nosek became a reliable bottom-six forward during Vegas' first season, contributing four goals and six points across 17 playoff games during the club's run to the Stanley Cup Final.
He later joined the Boston Bruins, where his defensive awareness, work on faceoffs and penalty-kill usage made him a trusted depth option.
Injuries slowed him during his time with the New Jersey Devils, but Florida gave him another opportunity on a league-minimum contract.
Nosek appeared in 16 games during the Panthers' 2025 postseason and earned his first Stanley Cup ring under Maurice.
His final NHL campaign was far less comfortable. A knee injury and broken leg reportedly limited him to 34 games and six points.
That physical toll may have shaped his decision to leave North America instead of chasing another short-term NHL contract or training-camp invitation.
Pardubice offers familiarity, a competitive roster and the chance to play an important role rather than battling for fourth-line minutes or a spot in the press box.
Nosek never became a top-six scorer, but he built a long career through details coaches value: defensive positioning, faceoffs, special teams and dependable shifts.
Now the Stanley Cup champion heads back to where it began, with a chance to finish his career in front of a home crowd.
