The Mammoth put Brandon Tanev on waivers Friday for AHL assignment, and he's not the only Utah forward heading out the door.
Caleb Desnoyers has been sent down to the AHL, and Joshua Roy will hit waivers at 2 p.m., according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA.
All three dressed last night in a 5-4 overtime loss at Vegas.
Tanev logged 14:20 in that one and didn't register a shot on goal.
Roy went minus-2 in 13:48 of ice time. Desnoyers saw 12:26 and finished minus-1.
Roy at least put two shots on net. Tanev and Desnoyers managed one between them.
Not one of the three picked up a point on a night Utah scored four times. So who actually won those jobs?

The Utah Mammoth just showed three forwards the door
Kevin Stenlund made the loudest case in Vegas, setting up three goals in 16:16.
He did it without a single shot on goal, which is the kind of night that keeps a roster spot warm.
Jack McBain led Utah's forwards with 18:36 of ice time, and Barrett Hayton was next at 17:32.
Waivers always carry risk. Any of the other 31 teams can put in a claim on Tanev or Roy before either one reaches the AHL.
Sending Desnoyers down is the right call. A forward who barely cracked 12 minutes in Vegas needs a bigger role than this lineup can hand him right now.
Training camp cuts work like a restaurant trimming its menu before opening night. The dishes can still be good, but there isn't room for all of them.
The blue line did most of the scoring against the Golden Knights. Artyom Duda, Zachary Jones and Tomas Lavoie all found the net, and Liam O'Brien had the other.
Duda also led every Utah skater with 22:59 of ice time.
Sebastian Cossa made 30 saves on 35 shots in goal.
The Mammoth sit at 1-1-1 this preseason and host Colorado on Saturday, then open the regular season at home against Chicago on October 1.
