Watching Connor McDavid at Rogers Place just got cheaper, with the Oilers rolling out $10 food, parking and T-shirt deals.

The Decade Deals menu includes burgers, perogy dogs and a beer-and-hot-dog combo, all at $10.

Parking drops to $10 too, and so does an Oilers T-shirt.

The deals run at every home game, with select items available while supplies last.

First up is Wednesday night against Calgary, and it's hard to think of a better night to pack the building than the Battle of Alberta.

In this economy, that matters. Fans across Canada have spent the week fuming about paying more just to watch their team.

Oilers are 5-0-0 on the road but only 3-2-2 at Rogers Place

The irony writes itself. A building with Rogers on the front is handing out bargains while Sportsnet+ subscribers grumble about another monthly fee.

And the Oilers could use the boost at home. They're 3-2-2 at Rogers Place and a perfect 5-0-0 on the road.

Monday night's shootout loss to Detroit dropped them to 8-2-2 and stretched a two-game skid.

McDavid is still giving people their money's worth, with 34 points through 12 games.

Leon Draisaitl has 12 goals, half of them on the power play.

Watching a $12,500,000 superstar with a $10 beer-and-hot-dog combo in hand feels like sneaking into a five-star hotel through the staff entrance.

Every team in the league should steal this idea. Fans notice when somebody remembers who keeps the lights on.

The roster still has questions. Zach Hyman is listed day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Will cheaper beer make Rogers Place louder? It can't hurt, especially before a three-game road swing through Long Island, Manhattan and New Jersey.

The Oilers return home Nov. 5 for a four-game homestand against Anaheim, Vancouver, the Rangers and Philadelphia.

But supplies are limited, and so is patience. If the home record doesn't improve, a $10 T-shirt won't keep the building happy for long.
