It was feisty affair on Saturday afternoon in Nashville as the Predators hosted their division rivals, the Winnipeg Jets.

During the first period, Winnipeg Jets defenceman Brendan Dillon made a big, but clean hit Predators rookie Luke Evangelista. Predators defenceman Cal Foote comes to the defence of his teammate and drops the mitts with Dillon in what turned out to be a spirited bout.

There has been plenty of outcry over the last week about the officials not calling instigator penalties after a clean hit led to a fight, but on Saturday, they decided to do so.

Foote received a two-minute minor for instigating, a five-minute major for fighting and a ten-minute misconduct, while Dillon was given five-minutes for fighting.
