The Arizona Coyotes have extended a young star who finished 4th in Calder voting last year.

Coyotes Extend Maccelli

NHL insider Kevin Weekes just announced that the Arizona Coyotes will be extending young star Matias Maccelli to a three-year extension.

Maccelli is coming off a 64-game year in which he scored 11 goals and had 49 total points. This total was second only to Matty Beniers and Maccelli actually scored at a higher pace scoring at a 67-point pace. Despite this, Maccelli only finished 4th in Calder voting.

Maccelli was a 4th round pick in 2019 but broke out last year playing with Clayton Keller and will look to build off of his strong 2022-23 season next year.

More details to come.
