After weeks of rumors, the Maple Leafs have finally reached a decision concerning Matt Murray.
Murray's Fate Confirmed
The 29-year-old goalie will be placed on the Long Term Injury Reserve for the 2023-2024 season.
According to Chris Johnston:
"The #leafs announce that Matt Murray is out indefinitely and will be placed on LTIR for the 2023-24 season."
That means he will miss a significant amount of time, and his salary will be removed from the Leafs' payroll.
This pretty much confirms that Ilya Samsonov and Joseph Woll will be the tandem next season.
