The Boston Bruins enjoyed great success under Patrice Bergeron, but now after his retirement, they'll need to name his successor ahead of the 2023-24 regular season.

Veteran choices

With three standout veterans on the team in Charlie McAvoy, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, the team certainly have options as they look to follow up a record breaking regular season.

Now, one former Bruins coach has weighed in, giving his opinion on who should lead the Original Six franchise going forward.

A controversial choice

Brad Marchand is one of the most hated players around the league by opposing fan bases, but Bruins fans absolutely love his hard nosed play on the ice, and now, Bruce Cassidy has revealed that would be his choice to lead the Bruins forward.

Brad will be a great leader, he'll just have to learn how to deal with younger players

At this point, there's seemingly no wrong answer, as all three are key parts of the Bruins core, and given how well they've led as a group alongside Bergeron, it appears any choice they make should be a good one.
