The renowned Elliotte Friedman made a huge revelation that fans were eager to hear.
Friedman Reveals Next Salary Cap
During a recent episode of his podcast, 32 Thoughts, Friedman revealed what the NHL is planning to do with the salary cap next season.
Friedman: The Hagel deal..
Marek: is a pretty good indication that the cap is going up
Friedman: They're expecting the cap to go up 4 million next year and 5 million the year after.
This is what we can expect to see in the coming years:
2023-24: $83.5 million
2024-25: $87.5 million
2025-26: $92.5 million
A $9M raise in two years is more than many expected.
It's nice to see the NHL finally understanding the teams' issues as many are currently struggling to remain under the limited cap space.
