Early this morning, the Arizona Coyotes and the LA Kings faced off in Melbourne Australia for the NHL global series. In the first preseason game of the year, Logan Cooley pulled off a ridiculous goal that is reminiscent of Bobby Orr.

Cooley Looks To Win The Calder

This goal shows how skilled Logan Cooley is. The 2022 3rd overall pick is one of the favorites to win the Calder trophy behind only Connor Bedard.

Coming off a 60-point campaign in 39 games with the University of Minnesota and finishing as a Hobey Baker finalist, Cooley proved to be one of the most exciting prospects in the NHL.

If he can move up to the top line, Cooley could potentially win the Calder if all goes well. While it does not feel like anybody can compete with Connor Bedard, Cooley is one of the few rookies who has a legitimate shot at doing so.
