Emberson, 23, has never played in the NHL. He was drafted in the third round by the Coyotes in 2018. Since then, he has spent the last six years with the University of Wisconsin and in the AHL. Last summer, the Coyotes traded him to the Rangers for Patrick Nemeth and a pick.
Now, he'll continue his career in San Jose, hoping to play his first NHL game this season.
