Now the Buffalo Sabres have their cornerstone players locked up. Dahlin now becomes the second highest-paid defenseman in the NHL behind Erik Karlsson. They will look to break the longest current playoff drought in the NHL. If they are going to take a step forward and make the playoffs Rasmus Dahlin will need to have another great year. Last season Dahlin had 73 points in 78 games.

The Sabres are expecting big things from their group this season. They will need to get off to a fast start to avoid narrowly missing the playoffs like last season.
Will Rasmus Dahlin win the Norris Trophy during his upcoming contract?
