The last eligible day for teams to claim players on waivers ahead of locking in their opening night roster was a busy one.
Calgary claimed fourth liner AJ Greer from Boston, Colorado claimed goalie Ivan Provestov from Arizona, John Ludvig was claimed by the Penguins, and Lassi Thomson was reclaimed by the Ottawa Senators and will now be sent to the AHL.
