The Toronto Maple Leafs shared some unfortunate news in the last few minutes.
Leafs Place Forward on LTIR
The Maple Leafs announced that they've place Timothy Liljegren on the Long-term Injury Reserve.
"The @MapleLeafs have recalled D Simon Benoit and D Max Lajoie from the @TorontoMarlies.
D Timothy Liljegren has been placed on long-term injured reserve."

Liljegren got injured earlier this week during a game against the Boston Bruins, after a controversial play by Brad Marchand sent him dangerously onto the boards.
