Seattle Kraken GM Confirms the fate of rising Star Shane Wright moving forward
The Seattle Kraken landed one of the youngest and biggest stars in the 2022 NHL Draft in the form of Shane Wright, and while things haven't been perfect to start his career, it appears things are turning around.
Kraken GM Confirms Shane Wright Won't Play In The WJC
After starring and captaining Canada in last year's World Junior Classic, the 19-year old, who remains eligible to play in the tournament reportedly won't be playing there again according to Ron Francis.
"I've already had discussions with Hockey Canada about that, so they kind of know where I stand. For me, he's kind of been there, done that, so I don't see him being part of the World Juniors this year. He's actually up with us now."
Wright to become a full-time NHLer?
Last week, Wright was recalled to the NHL after Jordan Eberle suffered a gruesome injury, and after a hot start in the AHL this season, this is his chance to cement his spot on the top roster.

In seven games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds this season, Wright notched four goals and two assists, and if he can continue that level of play, the team will hope he can find a spot on this team and become the star they hope they drafted last year.
