Some fans have propagated the false rumor that he had an affair with Connor Bedard's mom.

While the Blackhawks organization dismissed those rumors, it forced Bedard's mom, Melanie, to make a significant gesture.

After being harassed by many people online, Bedard had no choice but to take action.
