The experience of going through all four rounds of the NHL playoffs, and winning the Stanley Cup, is invaluable to teams looking to add to their lineup. NHL GMS are bound to be looking hard at this name as he has three championships in his career.

Vegas Golden Knights Look to Move on from Stanley Cup winner

According to a report from Ken Boehlke of SinBin.Vegas, The Golden Knights want cap space to add at the trade deadline, and they see shipping out Alec Martinez as a great way to do it.

Martinez won two Stanley Cups with the LA Kings before being traded to Vegas in 2021. He signed an extension, and ended up winning the another Cup last season.

Martinez May be On his Way out of Vegas

The 36-year-old defenceman is on the final year of a three-year deal he signed with the Golden Knights worth $5.25 million per season. That may make the veteran a bit tougher to move, but an emerging contender looking to add to its lineup will be hard pressed to find someone else in the league with more experience than Martinez.
